New albergue called Reina Lupa 12km from Santiago. Excellent value. Boquexión (Deseiro/Sergude) - Albergue Reina Lupa. New albergue opened recently in late April 2018 and situated 150 metres from the main road. Has 18 beds. Cost 14 euros for bed in dormitory. Breakfast not included in the price...
Just a quick heads up for those walking the Via de la Plata. The albergue Casa Anita in Santa Croya de Tera is closed. This has just been confirmed by the owner of La Moña albergue.
I can report that the Embalse albergue is open. Walked down there today on my way to Caneraval. 15 euros and very good reports from the pilgrims staying there.
Hi Ray I'm walking this way again for the 4th time in April. The weather is great with some hot stages. I'm using stages notes and made up my own guide from eroski and bronze plus additional notes. I have th jelly book to on my phone.Have fun planning.
