The historical documents illustrated by the story of Sharpe have very catchy tunes.
:)
I think the song is original. i'm planning on learning the words for next time

I should actually link the proper version...
I have noticed over the years that US shoes don't really do mud. The traction always seems to be designed for dry conditions. So it isn't a daft question. Not by a long way.
And proper vibram type boots do tend to be heavy. I have been using trail runners. The Hoka Challenger suits me but...
these are the basic principles here in England- I'd be surprised if the Spanish ones differ much.

We once hitchhiked. It was most excellent fun. Meeting local people you couldn't have met any other way. Travelling as a pilgrim is travelling in a bubble, a lovely bubble, but still...

A godsend.
Thank you.
I am fancying a virtual walk. some favourite days from the past.
Many years ago, 10 or 20, I am not sure, there used to be a site on the net that had a day by day guide for quite a few camino journeys. You would click on a day and it would be a sequence of photographs from that day. Lots of...
barefoot as in zero rise trainers? Inov-8 terroc with added sorbothane double strike footbeds worked quite well for me. The inners were essential for the Portuguese granite cobbles. I could feel how soft tarmac was after a hundred km of cobbles.
But essentially - my advice is to use your...

this is a cold weather version of your ventilated jacket that doesn't even try to keep out the rain
instead it creates a tropical microclimate next to the skin
