Does the chance of rain increase the later you go? I'm looking at the last 2 weeks of October. If you walk Santiago to Porto instead, would that be more strategic weather wise?
I'm watching flights too. The only ones I see under $1,000 right now aren't until mid October...wondering how rainy of a walk that would be to do the coastal...
I land on the 7th in Madrid and will make my way to SJPdP. I plan to start walking on the 9th, but I am confident our paths shall meet along the way. See you soon!
I was super encouraged to receive Ivar's email this morning. I actually bit the bullet a few days ago and rebooked my flight to Spain. I figured if the borders aren't open, I'd just have flight credit again (cancelled my July 2020 flight). I'll be ending a job in mid-June and have decided to...

I laugh - but it is true! Being imprisoned in the colonies is how it totally feels! I want to be a responsible pilgrim, but I really do want to Camino this summer too!
My friend and I will be arriving in Saint Jean on the train a little after 6 on July 13th. We'll spend the night and start walking the morning of the 14th. I've got a long list of accomodations in front of me. What are your favorites for our Camino walking eve?
My husband and our five children walked from Astorga to Santiago the summer of 2017 and what an experience it was!
Unexpectedly, my husband passed away on November 1, 2019 and the Camino is calling me back. To enjoy the sweetness of re-walking the paths my family walked together, and to learn...
