Best of luck to you Dave and a fast recovery to celebrate the way you like with a fruitful walk on Camino.
I do understand your concern as at the end of the month, I have to give my Neurologist a decision to begin the study for a possible surgery to implant an electrode in my brain to help...
Don Tomás:
Cynthia will be present in our daily prayers for a prompt recuperation and to continue providing you the strength and support on these moments.
Hi:
Look in the credential for the CP map. There you will find a note that says in order for the VE be valid, the pilgrimage must begin either in Vigo or Porriño.
Hope this helps,
Iván
And that answer brings into this notice in a hotel:
Here is the translation:
Dogs are welcome at this hotel. We never had dogs that smoked in bed burning the sheets. We have never had a dog steal our towels or turn the TV on at full volume or get into a fight with his roommate. We never had...
Hi Jackie305:
Yes, you can start your walk from O Porriño, but remember, if you will request a Compostela, there is requirement of two (2) stamps per day for the last 100 kms.
Buen Camino.

Hi Laurie:
Take a look at the specifications written on the side of the chargers. There you will find the information of the Input Voltage (that’s the voltage provided from the wall plug) and the Output Voltage, since these are phone chargers, the output should be 5V (5 volts) and amperage...
Thank you, good_old_shoes.
Your words were really moving, very beautiful meaning of Camino that should be applied to the daily world and for ourself whenever we reach to that crossroad in our life’s and decide the way to follow.

Hi Laurie:
I am with you, I from time to time I also have the pinched nerves on my back. On one time it was caused by a sneeze that pinched the nerve so back that I had to get to the hospital by ambulance as I was not able to get on my feet.
What helps me is taking some anti inflammatory pills...
Yes, you are right!
As my reply to @tresile, I studied the vos/vosotros; this because the Spanish literature classics were part of the curriculum. And of course, the modern usted/ustedes, which is of common usage. The later I used in Spain without problems to be understood.
That I don’t know, but when I was in school, it was taught when studying the verb conjugations. It may be in certain areas, as it used also in areas (small) of Central and South America. In the Caribbean for certain is not used ( my area); but it is studied as part of the Spanish grammar.
IMHO, you should treat the other person the same way you would like to be treated.
The way I was raised was to address my elders, persons with authority (teachers, priest, nuns, members of government, police officers, etc.) and persons met for first time with “Usted”. As the relation...
Good for you, Robo! I recall you presented this issue before, and I told you not to mind if the Spanish was from either Spain or Latin America.
I’m from the Caribbean and our accent is different from those of Central and South America. All the countries have their local idioms that may...
Thank you, Sabsp for this information on the traditional celebration of “Los Reyes Magos”.

Hi Kirkie, thanks for this thread for the opportunity to wish you and all Pilgrims on this wonderful Camino Forum (thank you, Ivar) the best to all the best and that the God Child grant your wishes during this Christmas.
Please excuse me for creating some confusion within the thread with my posting.
Some of you did not got the meaning of the saying. The OP of this thread gave the answer (post #9):
The saying refers to when we give a different meaning, intentionally or not, to what someone said with a good...
There is an old Spanish saying that may helps to settle the arguments, thoughts, opinions, etc. that have been expressed on this thread so far:
“No hay palabras mal dichas, sino mal comprendidas.”
Translated it says: “There are no words misspoken, but misunderstood.”
Hi Robo:
I can mention at least two Caminos with historical and religious meanings for your consideration.
The first is the Camino del Cid (The Way of El Cid), you can find information here: http://en.caminodelcid.org.this is a long “Camino” as it goes across Spain from Castilla to the South to...
Hi:
Did you try Black Diamond? They do have a model with angled handles(about 30 degrees). I use them, have cork grips. They are not like the Pacer Poles, but at least is something.
Hope this helps your decision.
