    Any risk of walking without insoles?

    Ive done that before on a trek when my feet swelled up. I also always take a thin pair of socks than I’d usually prefer just to give my feet heaps of room while swelling lasts. I try drink lots of water. Someone told me that helps don’t know why.

    I slept on the floor on a dusty old mattress in a gymnasium in zubiri in September 2016. My least fave night on the Camino.

    I think you find breathtaking beauty on the Tour du Mont Blanc. Majestic mountains all around. A camino seems a different thing to me, not a hike, but an experience, an immersion, and to be treasured in an entirely different way.
