I live in Sydney and I found Barcelona was a better option for me . I found more airlines to fly with were going to Barcelona . The 2nd decider was that there was a lot of flights from Barcleona to Leon which was my starting point last year . When i finished i fly back to Bar ..stayed overnight...
Look I see it this way ... life is full of people that would of , could of and should of and the fact is they didn"t so I see this as a camino ..call it an "entree camino '...see you on the road
i'm a planner ..no harm in that however I have learnt that one of the things I do is embrace the random/unplanned aspect of the day ..it is one of the things that I love about the Camino . My work and and home life is so planned and structured so the idea of the randomness of the day is a little...

I started my journey in Pamplona . I googled the most expensive hotel I could find and had a couple of nights rest prior . I was 54 at the time and whilst I have travelled a lot it was the first time on my own in 30 years and 2 of my sons had passed in the previous years so it was pretty...
hey Kevin yes I totally agree with what you say however I think if I was there I think it would play a bit on my mind and I would feel that I was doing "half a camino " if you like . The guy that did it last week was alone most of the time and for me that is half of the fun meeting people...
Gee I wouldn't be going now . If ever there was a time to meet people it wont be now! I just would not find it enjoyable having worry about who's contagious and who's not , just saying
