Plenty of towns along the route. Last time was '22 for me and I stopped for the day in Negeira after coming out of Santiago, then Oliveroa, Cee , Lires via Fisterra and onto Muxia
First time in '18 I wasn't sure how well the route was supported but I never struggled for somewhere to stay.

Very much this. I've always arrived on my own and have enjoyed the smiles and happy faces in the Cathedral Square. It was my first time going to mass for maybe 25 years also. I also like the feeling of pilgrim watching along the route, have sometimes picked up the odd straggler for a few days (...
Infrastructure, rather than bureaucracy is IMHO what is needed

Imagine the bed race if snorers had to sleep in separate accomodation ...
People chosing to keep me awake with their phone, drunken antics or turning on lights very early.... now that's something I struggle to put up with
People just gotta try and cope with pilgrim life a little better methinks
IIRC the bus station, train station and main taxi rank are all in the same area , a 20 min ? walk south of the cathedral. I've always hopped off there when coming back from Muxia / Finisterre etc. I would assume this to be the bus station.
I live in Sussex but am fortunate to be able to use a friends static caravan in North Cornwall and be able to walk from lots of locations near there. The tourists arrive when the nice photos appear and give them ideas :)
I have completed maybe 500km of the path now but not able to do a...
