Walking the Mozarabe Camino: A Beautiful Journey from Almeria to Merida

Just completed the Mozarabe Camino from Almeria to Cordoba. One navigational item to consider 🤔 there are areas in the mountains where there is no mobile coverage so if you rely on "mobile data" to actively download/update maps, ensure you have a plan B.

Looking for walking partner for my *first* leg from Leon to Hospital de Orbigo on Sept. 27

Hello @NinaWalks Consider the ALSA M1 bus from Leon to La Virgen del Camino, to avoid an uninspiring 6km walk exiting Leon. Refer: https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/bus-to-la-virgen-del-camino.86410/ The Basílica de la Virgen del Camino provides a good vantage point to spot...

Thanks you @krystianw. Was unaware of the caminoweather.com site. Tempature is a good indicator, but not the only variable to consider. Best to consider all factors 3-4 days in advance and plan accordingly. Main rule is to stay safe and never try to push the boundaries, always have a plan B if...

    Mozarabe in September

Planned my itinerary for both Almeria->Cordoba (Sept24), and Malaga->Cordoda (Dec24), a few months ago, so had to prebook private accommodation. Starting Sept 21th: Almería. Who knows our paths may cross closer to Cordoba.

@C clearly Pretty sure Brooks provide wide fitting Trail running shoes.. The cascadia-16 is iconic and great for all terrain, the cascadia-17 has regressed slightly.

    Tides for crossing

😆Ok, I am not the only one... I was a tidal expert last week before the Caminha to A Guarda crossing last Wednesday. Booked https://xacobeotransfer.com/en/home/ in advance, was given no prior warning of an impending low tide impacting the scheduled crossing. Upon arrival, after questioning those...

Jeju Olle Trail in South Korea

Never hiked on jeju, but on the main land. Was a little put off with Netflix series references to the olle jeju hikes and the possibility of being blown off a narrow country road by a Lamborghini 😂😂. Thank you for the references. Gamsahamnida.🙏
