Thank you for compiling and posting this wonderful slide show. I too was on the Camino Frances in September 2017. Lovely to see the familiar sights. Buen Camino!
In 2018 on the Francés, I started out drinking tap and fountain water. But was continually experiencing gastrointestinal problems. Finally decided it must be the water, so I switched to bottled only and all my discomfort cleared up. At home, I never buy bottled water, but desperate times ...
It’s coming up on 4 years since my last Camino also. I had been planning to return in 2020 but we all know why that didn’t happen. Somehow travelling with all the restrictions doesn’t seem all that appealing to me right now so I will wait awhile longer. In the meantime though, some issues with...
I’m using Duolingo as well but I also follow “Español con Juan” on YouTube. Juan is based in Spain and he teaches through stories and skits so that you learn Spanish “en contexto.” I find his videos fun and practical.
@MonicaB and @Montana Girl, sincere best wishes to you both. I started my first Camino on September 14, 2017 and had mostly lovely weather. In 2018 I walked in September also and it was really hot on the meseta. ¡Buen Camino!
I can feel the excitement in your post. Wishing you a Buen Camino. September is a wonderful time to walk. I have done parts of the Francés twice at that time and have had good weather both times. Enjoy!
The Museum of Modern Art (MUSAC) is definitely worth a visit. You have no doubt visited Casa Botines, but the tour there is very good. Happy planning and Buen Camino!
My fall 2020 camino has been postponed but I hope to complete my camino in 2021, starting from Astorga. I am really enjoying following your progress and seeing your pictures from Galicia. Buen Camino @roamingpaddy. Glad to see you're having good weather!
I have the Osprey Sirrus 34L and love it. I’m about 5’4” and purchased the small size but realized it didn’t fit correctly so returned it for a medium. I love the fit and the trampoline back as well as all the pockets.
Stunning photography @LesBrass! What a walk that was! Just curious about the red signs; are they specific to the Camino Lebaniego?
Beautiful photos from @LTfit as well.
Yes, I long to return.
@kirkie may I offer condolences on the passing of your sister. It is a very difficult time to lose someone as the traditional ways of honouring their life are not available. May she rest in peace. Prayers for you and your family. 🙏
