Bonjour, Ola, Hello!! I am Gord from Toronto, Canada and I will hopefully be starting my 1st Camino from SJPP on Tuesday September 22. I leave Toronto YYZ on Sept 20, arrive in Paris CDG on Sept 21, SNCF down to SJPP for Sept 21 and if all goes well I hope to start walking / trekking on Wednesday morning Sept 22. I'm very excited to start my trek.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Buen camino! Perhaps good to hear that even for people with a lot of caminos behind some of us are stil anxious ahead of every start. Have a nice walk!

I live in Mexico and my wife is Mexican. (Things may be different in Spain as every country has its own language stuff) I saw Ola and I said wait a second OLA is a wave on the ocean isn't it? I asked my Silvita and she said yes when it is spelled that way. Hola is hello. So Holaaaaaaaa and have a great Camino. If they spell hello in Spain sometimes without the H I would love to know I am wrong. ;) :) đź‘Ť

In Portuguese we say olá, very similar to the Spanish hola.
