    Redondela Or Acrade

Its plus points are food, location and view. The rooms are tired, with odd bathroom confugurations but perfectly acceptable, but obviously that is just one opinion. Estuary = tidal mouth of a river Hope that you find somewhere :).

    Redondela Or Acrade

In a bit of higher price bracket but Hotel Antolin is a few kms beyond Redondela, signed off of the route and sits right on the estuary (very scenic). Good food and possible to take a bathe (or two) in the estuary. It is also waymarked back to the main route. They have a limited number of...

Ferry from Somo to Santander ?

I'm a bit late to the party on this thread but can you just turn up for this ferry or is it wise to pre-book (if you can?)

    A Coruna to Betanzos

My recollection where we ate (and I can't remember the name of it) was that they served either a small or large tortilla. I can't vouch for other establishments. I guess if they have a suitable container you could take the rest away for the next day, bearing in mind they are a bit more fluid...

    A Coruna to Betanzos

If it helps, this route was posted on Plotaroute.com (route in reverse from Betanzos) but the bulk appears to be on minor roads/tracks. https://www.plotaroute.com/route/928384?units=km

    A Coruna to Betanzos

Of which this is one. Quite runny compared to some!

    A Coruna to Betanzos

Sorry, I meant to cross over to Betanzos. If it is just to get on to the Ferrol branch of the Ingles then there are train and bus options to both Betanzos and Pontedeume direct from A Coruna.

    A Coruna to Betanzos

Do you have a particular reason for wanting to do this (assuming you are happy to share)?

    Boat ride to Padron

I believe the boat moors in Pontecesures so central Padron is another 2km/20-30 min walk. There are a number of places you could push on to with accommodation (distance from mooring) Hotel Scala at about 4km A Picaraña at about 10km Rua de Francos/Teo area at about 12.5 km O Milladoiro at about...

Camino Ingles, The English Way, The Celtic Way from Reading

Great write up @John R McLean, thank you. What sort of prices were you paying for accommodation on the UK stages?

Travel options from south Hampton to Ferrol/a Coruna

If you have the time, you can also walk from Southamnpton to the ferry terminal at Portsmouth along The Solent Way

Travel options from south Hampton to Ferrol/a Coruna

Nearest ferry would be Portsmouth to either Bilbao or Santander. There is no ferry direct to Ferrol or A Coruna. Vueling fly direct to A Coruna or Santiago and transport to the start of the Ingles at either Ferrol or A Coruna is easy from both of those airports.

Shantiago - a Camino song in shanty style

Hi, I'm the writer/creator of the song and video. I thought I would demistify it a bit and say that the graphics were actually relatively easy to create. Using the Bing AI Image Creator I just needed to describe with text and in detail what I wanted a particular image to contain to fit the song...

Walking the UK St James Way with a military amputee

Hi Graham. I'm acquainted with a couple of people who were involved in the setting up of that route. Leave it with me and I'll find out if they can answer your question and what current conditions are like. I know that last May it was reported that some of the stretch between Winchester and...

Santiago de Compostela Airport to Ferrol

Easiest option is Airport Bus to the Intermodal Station (bus and rail hub) and then coach to Ferrol. https://www.aena.es/en/santiago-rosalia-de-castro/getting-there/bus.html

Camino Inglés in combination with Fisterra?

Not at all, in my opinion. Fisterra and/or Muxia are a lovely way to finish any Camino. Depending on your walking ability 10 days to walk Ferrol to Santiago (5/6 days usually) and then on to Fisterra, Muxia or both (min of 3 days) plus the return trip on the bus may be pushing your timeframe...

Irún to Bilbao. How many walking days? Any unmissable experiences?

If you haven't encountered it already, there is a dedicated thread on this stage and its "doability". https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/from-guernica-to-bilbao.79522/
