Hi,
VdlP is a great route , hard but very enriching.
I walked Mozarabe—> VdlP in May/June 2022 , very hot and sone long days , but I found the solitude I was searching for 😀
I have no connection to company but can recommend Stance socks, a mixture of cotton and polyester , no seams and I don’t get itchy feel like I do with some of the merino socks.
They can be expensive , but the sore feet can spoilt a great adventure
Looks fine to me, only question is how easy is it to pack in 24 L bag. Wrestling to get it all in a bag , in a dark room every morning will become a bit of a trial .
In 2022 I started in Almeria 2nd May , it was hot all the way to Galicia , but as long as you start early and can carry enough water all ok . Depends how you are in the heat .
Hi,
I’m used one fur clean clothes / one for dirty that doubled as a washing machine / small one for electricals plus one for waterproofs. Tgd dry clothes one was biggest at 5 litre
Agree, at a point they just die and you can’t get the smell out. Merino all the way for me, appreciate they aren’t as robust , are more expensive but worth the money
The other choice is to walk quicker,
Not sure which Camino you are planning but I would have thought most are doable in circa 80 days, leaving plenty of time for volenteerring.
