You're welcome and thanks!
Yes, it definitely was worth it. After two very hot parts we weren't properly equipped for the cold nights. That lead to some interesting selections of night clothes. :) The real pity was that the clouds kept the butterflies mostly hidden for the latter part. Anyway...
Re: A few photos between Roncesvalles and Astorga - Now to Santi
Well, one should be careful about wishes - I definitely got what I wished for ... with an additional drop in temperature. Brrr!
Despite the cold, fog, rain and clouds I still managed to get a few pictures and to have a good...
It's a re-run from last year, so it may partially explain the hordes of Finns this year as well... At least we met many more on the last third than on the previous parts earlier. A couple of hospitaleros mentioned the same thing.
Here's how I set it up. I cut the strap in two and added a set of hooks to the free ends. Those are connected to rings in the backpack. Be careful to measure the straps so that you don't have to release the strap for taking pictures. In my case portrait pictures almost require that.

Thanks!
The weather has been favorable to me. The light is hard during the day, but the mornings can be extremely nice. Fog would also be nice, but that seems rare in June.
Wish I could, but that would be too long. I have one extra day or maybe two depending on travel arrangements, but that is all. I hope to do the full route at once one day. That would definitely deserve Fisterra as ending.
Thank you! I'm looking forward to it. My wife has already done the last third with a bike so I have some idea of the scenery. This time she will have time to really enjoy it.
I don't have a blog, but I do have a some photos available from my two partial Camino Frances journeys.
2005: Roncesvalles - Burgos
2009: Burgos - Astorga
Edit:
2011: Astorga - Santiago
Hello everyone!
I'm Juha from Finland and I will be joining the 2011 class with my wife. There has always been only a limited time available in summer, so I've done my Camino Frances in parts: In 2005 to Burgos and 2009 to Astorga. Next June should be the time I finally get to finish - for the...
