Hi Everyone,

Great thread!
Last June I have purchased Z-Trek Xero sandals. Why? They are 204 grams only. Perfect for my needs, because I do not hike in flipflops and other sandals weight a lot more.
I knew nothing that time about "barefoot" footwear.
First time I tried walking in Xero was madness. I felt...
Hi @philo,
I do own GP Pro jacket from RR.
Very sturdy and comfortable jacket. Not for long hikes. Breathes good. Quite Heavy.
I am using it for 3-5 day hikes in forest, or "hard terrain" coz its just undreakable. You can try cut it with a knife and nothnig will happen to it.
Definetly not...
We have exactly the same system, but not every hotel follows the guidelines.

Some hotels are getting fined because of that. Believe me, its not...
Scotland is very beautiful!
I was ones in a small town - Stonehaven. There was a Castle on a cliff.
And local pub that served hot salmon soup. Instead of the plate they were using bread. So delicios!
And a pint of stout, of course.
Hi!
I'm 34 yo Male.
I am taking 28-34l Mammut Ducan Spine.
This bad boy has Active spine technology.
It is the most comfortable backpack I have.
Even if you load it fully with some heavy stuff, you just dont feel it on your back.
You have complete freedom of movement.
I have no idea to be honest. I prefer not to book in advance or research those kind of things, otherwise it will become a well planned trip.
just go for adventure!
buen camino!
Thx for the input!
I might then take North Face Thermoball instead. Its actually warmer than micro puff.
But then it looks like I have too much warm clothes.
If I layer up merino long sleeve + thin fleece or 2nd merino + thermoball + raincoat, I can hike in -15C easily.
I doubt that it will...

Hello everyone,
I will start my Camino Frances on 6th of March from SJPP.
I have a question regarding warm clothes.
I've watched several videos and some people walk in shorts, others wear sweaters and hats. Its totaly confusing.
What should I take?
At the moment list looks like this:
