Orisson: To stop or not to stop?

On my first Camino I stayed over at Orisson. It was a very positive experience with a dinner where everybody stood up an presented oneself and the reason for walking the Camino. The next walk to Roncesvalles was not so hard. Regards Tom

    First Camino Panic attack

I am little nervous too even though I will start my 3rd Camino in two weeks. Am I fit enough? Will it rain a lot? Will my equipment be OK? Last time I walked (Sep-Oct 2011), I did not have a single day of rain. Nervous but very excited.

How to train for the Camino?

Last time I used Sportslick and was very satisfied with that. I didn't get any blisters in 34 days of walking. Sure the socks get a little bit messy, but since you wash the socks every day I don't think it matter so much. Hate to change a winning concept.

What is the one albergue you would avoid?

Last year I stayed in Albergue Ave Fenix in Villafranca del Bierzo. I usually start very early. This morning I wanted to get started 06:30, but I couldn't get out. I tried all doors, but I was completly loocked in. The doors were opened at 07:00. Considering that this Albergue has had a fire...
