    Carry or have carried.

As a dissenting voice... I think that on the camino, as in life, it is important to carry one's load. Of course, this is just my opinion and I would never insist on it. It is a burden to carry one's possessions (for that month or so) but also a tremendous freedom – just one of the paradoxes of...

    Pilgrimage ways outside Europe

As already mentioned, the Camino Salvado from Perth to New Norcia is in Western Australia. It is historically linked to a catholic mission to indigenous people. It's been developed really well and (I believe) is no longer only open to booked groups. There's also the Bundian Way in New South Wales.

Thanks all for the valuable feedback, so far. Once I have an approved proposal, I hope to be able to post about any future camino and study plans.

    Class of 2013

Hello all, After walking the camino del norte and epilogo (Irún - Santiago - Fisterra) in 2010, I plan to go and walk a length of the chemin in France next year. Perhaps Genève or Cluny to Le Puy or Conques. I'd be grateful for any help deciding or making more plans. I am Australian, 32, an...

    Santiago to Finisterre????

@Crad80 - I'll add my voice to the ones who had recommend going on from Santiago. I hadn't intended to walk further (didn't even know that you could!) until a fellow pilgrim told me of his plans. There are some fantastic views, but of course the camino is not just a nature hike. You may find...
