No-one mentioned hearing and see Cuckoos. We heard them every day but never saw them. How about noting what countries pilgrims are from? Or learning how to say "Hello" or "Thank you" in their language. Buen Camino
Here is a photo of it. We were at the Pilgrim's Mass Thursday, May 14, 2015. If this was you that gave it to me, Thank You very much. It was a real blessing to have been given it.

You might want to Google the dates you will be traveling to see if any of the communities you will be traveling through will be celebrating any holidays or religious events, When we arrived at Santiago they were celebrating the Feast of the Ascension. We did not know that and I am sure we...
I just Googl-ed "Canadian Pilgrims on the Camino" and got some hits. Here in the States we have an organization called "American Pilgrims on the Camino". They have many chapters across the country. This is where I got to meet other pilgrims who have walked the Camino and who are planning to...
My pack weighed about 19 Lbs and my wife's about 15. And in the end there still were things we wished we would have left behind. Just remember the old George Carlin joke about "Our Stuff". The Camino is not the AT or the PCT. Buen Camino
When we were booking our travels for May 2015, RENFE was not posting the train schedule more then a month in advance of our travel date. Be patient with them. We booked with LOCO2 and as soon as the schedule was available for our travel date they let us know. Buen camino
I have been thinking about what Tyrrek suggested back on Oct. 2, about making crafts and selling them to raise money. Here is a photo of a hand tied rosary someone gave me at the Pilgrim's Mass in Santiago. You could learn to tie these and sell them before you embark on your Camino and while...
Hello Writer,
My wife and I did our Camino in May 2015. We found that we could share a Pilgrims meal between the two of us and we were full. If you had a hiking partner you could not only share meals but share the weight of your tent. Buen Camino
Did our Pilgrimage in May 2015. Like Luisa we enjoyed our communal dinner at the Albergue Casa Domingo in Pontecampaña. The meal was 10 Euros each and it was filling both physically and spiritually.
I liked C clearly’s comments. Here are my thoughts -
Equipment
1870g - Backpack Gregory Contour 50 - Water Proof Cover Included
536 g - Gregory 12 L Day Pack - carry on for the plane rides and to use if touring - Bring a small light weight daypack
144g - 3 Various sized Dry Sacs - Zip Lock...
My wife and I did the last 112Km from Sarria to Santiago in the first part of May 2015 and we found our silk sleeping sacks and the blankets provided by the abergues to be more than adequate. All of the abergues we stayed in also provided paper mattress and pillow covers. We had treated our...
