    Yes you can. I did it about 6 weeks after deciding it. You will struggle more emotionally than physically. But you will struggle. I didn't meet anyone who didnt...even marathon runners. As long as you have some level of basic fitness and determination you will make it. But bits if you have too.

    400 people left Roncesvalles. Many towns don't have enough beds so there is a feeling of competition. I see many many people arriving late only to be turned away. It is very hard.

    I am also walking in September and have packed a 3/4 length Goretex jacket and also a lightweight insulated shell jacket in case of cold. Have I overpacked? Do I need both? Oh and I also have a long sleeve thermal to sleep in for cold nights but could possibly use that instead of the shell??
