    2015 SEPTEMBER PILGRIMS

Buen Camino to those starting your journey as well as those currently on it :) After spending tonight in Pedrouza, my daughter and I will hit Santiago tomorrow. I had no idea how long it would take us, and I felt it was important that I not rush her, but she's found a drive in her that I was...

Thank you for this clarification! We are planning a train trip on the 15th, and it is scheduled, so I wasn't sure how that would work.

    2015 SEPTEMBER PILGRIMS

I am unbelievably excited! A few days left until jet plane day, and then we begin! My personality is to normally research and plan as much as possible and then control as many situations as I can in life. Thankfully the past few years have brought me the ability to roll with the punches, and my...

    Vancouver,BC to Madrid

I found an excellent flight option out of Edmonton, AB (YEG) to Madrid. 1st leg with Air Canada to Toronto and second leg straight to Madrid with Lufthansa. Return all with Lufthansa we go through Munich and then Vancouver before getting to Edmonton. All in $600 $Cad for Sep-15. I used Kayak to...

    Planning For September-October 2015

We have a similar timeline! We land in Madrid on the 15th and leave on the 30th, but our starting location is still TBD. My girl is active and fit, but still a child, so we may start somewhere like Molinesca, and meander at a slower pace than the norm. Maybe we will see you out there :)

    Planning For September-October 2015

I have purchased our flights!! Due to finding an amazing seat sale I paid $600 Canadian (Currently $507 US or 430 Euro) per person for flights from Canada to Madrid. As such, my daughter and I will be walking our Pilgrimage Sep 14-30. We just watched "6 Ways to Santiago" and "The Way" and we...

    Planning For September-October 2015

Me (in my 30s) and my (then) 10 yr old daughter are targeting a Sep 7th start date from Astorga, or possibly Leon. Our plan is to go as slow as she is comfortable with, with me carrying the bulk of the gear. Her fitness is fabulous for her age, so as long as we don't push it too much, and we are...
