Thank you everyone for your really helpful information. I'll definitely stick to this guidebook but will try and relax, go with the flow and simply follow those yellow arrows...
And thanks Viranani for the book suggestion. I looked it up on my university database and it turns we have two copies...
By the way - thanks Falcon for posting the link to the St Jean shop... I just looked through the photos of the shop's books, walking equipment, and shells and have gotten seriously excited! I can't wait to start!
It's also good to know that I can pick up any equipment in St Jean that I may have...
Awesome... Thank you all so much for your help! I can't get over how helpful and welcoming this whole forum is!

Thanks, Gerard. I'll definitely look into the Aust Post insurance. I have an overseas debit card with them and it's been a good experience in the past.
Hi Doug - thanks for your response! I can't believe I misinterpreted the elevation for metres... I thought it seemed strange!
I'll definitely just have to sit down and compare, compare, compare...
Hi fellow Antipodeans,
I'm beginning my first Camino (French way) on June 13th and am currently looking for a good travel/health insurance.
I'm wondering whether anyone has any suggestions for one they've used in the past that covers such a long stretch of walking? I'm looked at World Nomads...
