    I walked sept/oct last year and you will not be alone and no the albergues are never empty. In fact this time is getting even more popular due to cooler temps. You might be looking for some solo time in fact.

    I believe the buses are still running that time of year. Around 4 a day about one and half hour trip. I am traveling into Pamploma on 30th and would also share a taxi if there are others wanting to do so otherwise the bus is the next best option.
