Tooth powder: Amazon or Whole Foods has it.
Shampoo: There are Shampoo bar. I don’t like the idea of soap containers (wet soap....), got mesh bags for both shampoo bar and body soap (also use it for laundry) from Bed Bath and beyond. I got shampoo powder from Japan, love it! Not sure if it’s any...
I’m a big fan of Injinji after walked France Route 2016 and Le Puy 2017.
Only got one blister, was the day I did not wear Injinji (wear silk liner that day).
I wear it under wool hiking socks.
Thank you all !
Yes, I did read about grfive.com and the book from Cicerone. They are both very detail and helpful. Thank you !
Long Trails- Nice to know Erin’s blog. And, I’m heading NZ next month, can’t wait to explore Tongariro and Mt Cook !

Hi,
I plan to hike GR5 from Geneva to Nice summer months 2019.
I’m not super fit or active, don’t have any camping experiences (will stay at refugee, BB or hotel).
French Route and Le Puy to SSPP alone on 2016 and 17 and West Highland Way this fall, that’s all my outdoor experiences...
Like now, almost midnight, I worry about not enough time from CDG to catch the train from Gare Bercy.
Only carry on luggage, WOW airline from New York to CDG, arrive 11:30 am.
Need to catch 14:00 train from Gare Bercy.
Do I have enough time ? 2.5 hours ? With non EU passport
Bought all the tickets and made reservations for first few days.
This is not my first camino, and I travel many times to Europe.
But for April journey, I feel anxious.
Can't tell why, I nervous about plane delay, worry about my health, dream about getting lost....
Thank you Binya
I will send an email to pilgrim office in SJPP and the gite I plan to stay.
Hope one of them can keep my package for about 25 days. I plan to visit another part of Europe and I need some more "supplies".
I read from other posts about the unleashed dog issue on Le Puy route.
What if, oh dear God, what if the situation happened, barking or worse....., what should I do? Running?
I booked the flight for May and now looking for the first three nights accommodation.
Just curious, from MMDD, a long list of places to stay, how you pick up the one you prefer?
Mostly they don't have website or from booking site, how do you know that is the one you want to stay?
I brought a basic packable shopping tote with me, for shopping and around the city tourist activities.
No camara with me this time, I keep my iPhone in my jacket pocket.
I walked CF this April, all the way to Santiago.
Osprey Kyte 46, no problem as a carry on for Norweigan airline, EasyJet, Ryanair and Vueling.
With trekking poles and hydration system. Rain cover is included which is a big plus.
Hi,
I have few questions about Le Puy:
1. Is there hairdryer at Demi-pension?
I got terrible headache during CF without dry my hair.
2. Do they have cloth lines for laundry? Or only washer dryer available?
3. i brought sleep bag with me this April on CF route. Do I need sleep bag for Le Puy too...
