    There's another wave coming, bigger than all the rest

    In Logrono at the moment for a cultural day and had booked a hotel. The place is packed - there is a fiesta on and a football match. Avoid the big towns and cities at the weekends as many Spanish are choosing weekend trips domestically over European city breaks.

    I gave my sleeping bag away as I figured that my silk liner would be fine and if it was a bit chilly could wear more clothes and put my quick dry towel over me inside the silk liner. Have found the higher altitude albergue's have blankets. Buen Camino!

    Stayed in Roncesvalles last night in the albergue and it was pretty busy. The night before it was completely full up. I noticed a lot of groups and pilgrims using the bag delivery service. All these people are pretty much doing the "standard" Roncesvalles to Zubiri, Zubiri to Pamplona etc...

    SJPDP to Roncesvalles in a Day....hmm

    Think about doing the Valcarlos route. I walked it today. Started off randomly with a couple of other ladies. So far the peregrino count in Valcarlos is 8. Seeing the overcrowded train from Bayonne yesterday would indicate 92 percent were going via Route Napoleon today. Buenos Camino!

    Do not believe the hype and if Plan A is not achievable, then go to Plan B. Move on and do not look back. I haven't even started my first Camino yet (starting on the 17th)!!! I tried to book the Orisson on the night of the 17th, but they were full. I had had my heart set on walking there...
