I just returned from walking the Camino Frances and only met a handful of Americans ( I kept count..I met only 10 in 35 days). I was not surprised , but disappointed.
Most Americans I talk to never heard of the Camino and look at me like I have 3 heads when I mention it.
What is it with us...
Only one more get up and I will be on my way to the Camino!!
I really want give a BIG THANK YOU to everyone here for the wealth of information and all the help that this forum has given me.
I have learned so much from all of you.
I have listened to your advice and am grateful to have had it.

Will I need the same plug adaptor for both Spain and France? And is it the one with 2 circular prongs.
I think there are 2 plug adaptors with circular prongs, one is a bit larger, and if I remember correctly the smaller circular prongs are for France and the larger for Germany. But I don't...
I had read that in any given year, only 15% of those that embark on the Pilgrimage actually complete it. Or at least that only 15% receive a Compostela.
That seems like a very low figure, so I am curious to know if there is a place that I might get these figures. I have seen in the forum...

I had come across a website that gave a 7 day weather forcast for each stage of the Camino Frances(and possibly the other routes). Somehow I lost the URL and now I cannot find it.
Does anyone know of such a website? If so, please let me know the URl.
I found it very interestig to follow the...
In reading through some of the threads, I have come across many with reference to cold showers. I am not a fan of cold showers :(
That must be hard to take after a long day's walk, when one would really appreciate a nice hot shower.
Do most albergues have hot water? Or, are cold showers to be...
I just came across a great website called "Fixing Your Feet"

Well we have a wonderful and very informative post on best stops and favorite Albergues up to Burgos. How about your favorites for the rest of the way? I have made note of all the information in the other post and am anxious to hear your input on the rest of the trip.
Love this website. I am...
It seems that in every book I read about the Camino the author has been attacked or nearly attacked by vicious snarling dogs. I know some authors like to put a little spin on it, to add some drama to their stories, but I seriously don't want that kind of drama on my Camino.
So, my question is...
Hi all,
I am planning to fly to Pamplona and wondering if I can get a bus right at the airport to get to Roncevalles or if I have to go to a bus station.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks
Rita
I have heard that restaurants open after the 10PM curfew for albergues and it is hard to get anything good(healthy) to eat. Just bar food, pizza, etc.
I am hoping that I am able to eat healthy nutritious food.
Do most albergues cook a Pilgrim meal?
Are there markets open during the day to buy...
I am planning to walk the Camino Frances in September. It will be my first camino. I am a 62 year old woman and would like to hear from others (especially women) over 60 who have walked the camino.
I am a bit nervous about walking alone, especially since I am an early riser and will undoubtedly...
Hello all. I just joined and am planning on walking the Camino Frances in September.
Can anyone tell me...are there hair dryers in the alburges?? If not, what do you ladies do about hair? Shall I cut it real short before leavling home?
