I'm going to walk for a few days in July - starting from Astorga and seeing how far I get. Last time I walked in September, I used a fleece sleeping bag liner and that worked quite well. Do you think it will be warm enough or should I take a sleeping bag as it will be more mountainous? Thank you!
Hi Camino friends,
I'm planning on returning to the Camino for 5 days and will be starting my walk in Astorga. I really don't want to pre-book anywhere to stay as I don't want to plan anything on my walk as I was injured last year on the Camino and want to go where my legs take me. I...
Hi all,
I'm going to be walking from Astorga at the end of July. I only have 5 days to walk this time and I don't really want to plan my walk too much as I was injured last year on the Camino, so I want to take things slower. I don't know where I'll be at the end of my walk, but I do need to...
Hi there Camino friends,
I'm dying to get back to the Camino which I had to cut short last year as I injured my leg. I plan to fly to Madrid on a Sunday July 21st and will arrive in the afternoon around 4pm. Does anybody know if I would be able to get a train to Astorga that same day or do you...
Hi all! I'm walking the Camino Frances at the end of August/September - I recently bought a 9 1/2 Columbia trail runner (wide) and they fit very nicely. I want to buy some Keen walking sandals also. Should I buy a size 10 or 10 1/2? I'm leaning towards the Keen H2 Newport sandal - should I...
Hi all, I'm super excited to be walking the Camino Frances in September this year (2018 - starting August 29th and ending around the first week in October). Should I bring a sleeping bag? Or perhaps a sleeping bag liner?(I've seen a couple of microfiber fleece liners that provide a little...
Hi Everyone!
I'm so excited to be walking the Camino in late August this year. I'll be on my own, so I'm a little nervous and hoping to meet some friendly faces along the way. I am staying the night in Biarritz before I head to St. Jean and then I'm trying to decide the best thing to do. I am...
Yay!! I'm so excited to be walking The French Way at the end of August 2018. I'm coming from the Cayman Islands, which is as flat as a pancake so I'm very worried about the first couple of days because of the ups and downs. Is there just one route to Roncesvalles, or is there a less steep...
Hi all! I'm sooo excited to finally be planning for my Camino !!!!! I'm going the French Way and I'll be walking from Mid-August to September. Do I need to pre-book the albergues or will I be able to find places as I go. I'd prefer not to be too structured. Also, for this time of year, will...
Hi Pilgrims!
I'm dying to walk the Camino de Santiago and plan to do the whole walk next year. I'd love to get a taster for the walk this summer though, around the 3rd week in August. I will be walking alone and would love to hear suggestions about where to start/finish with 5 days of...
