I'm about to do my first camino in April, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm vegan and if there was any space left in my pack, I'd be pretty tempted to bring some Vega protein powder!
Great advice, thanks so much! Will def have a bandana and buff : ) Skipping sleeping bag for a simple, silk liner instead. Will probably only bring a small travel size Dr Bronners and toothpaste toiletry wise and have a headlamp already. Yeeeeeeeeee! It's getting closer and I'm getting so...
I need to look up my arrangements again, and I might pool with you! I'm taking the train from Geneva, and they've already changed the ticket time *sigh* so we'll see if that applies to all the connections that went along with the ticket. Ah, train travel...Lol
Thanks, Tony!
Sports bras are a given for me : ) but was just discussing bottoms with my sister-in-law - she's a fan of ExOfficio and I think I'll look into 2 pairs of those. I have several layer-able Smartwool shirts that I think should work (I'll pack 1/wear 1), a fleece, scarf, thin...
Thanks, Joe. I think it's really more excitement and jitters than anything else : ) I have all the main things and went out with my boots and pack today - felt great! My pack is only 28L, so this with def be an exercise in simplicity/necessity lol.
Cheers!
Marty,
If you haven't booked all your tickets yet, check out www.skyscanner.com for super cheap flights (especially if you can be flexible with your dates). I will be starting from SJPP April 11th/12th for my first (and solo) camino. So exciting! Maybe we'll meet on the Way : )
Cheers,
Bradley
Walking my first camino this April and I can't wait (although the logistics of packing is going to give me an anxiety attack before it's all over lol). Looking forward to making new friends, some time for solitude, some inner reflection, and seeing the Spanish countryside. BC everyone!
Oh, I'm so glad you said that, Tony : ) I'm starting my first Camino in April and finally picked up a pack today - a 28L. I'm a bit worried about the cold, but plan to just bring layering basics and keep everything as minimal as possible. I was getting nervous with all the talk of 45-65L...
