    Arles Route versus Le Puy

Thanks for your insight Richard. I guess you just never know how the weather will be. In my two walks through Spain - the Frances in 2014 and the Madrid in 2017 - they were unseasonably warm and dry. Maybe this year in France it will get real.

Thanks Kayagee. I will be doing the route from mid-April to May. Hope the weather isn't too crazy. I guess it is always best to pack for the worst.

    Arles Route versus Le Puy

Thank you Arn. I guess weather is a consideration, especially at that time of year. Plus I can do without a crowd. I enjoyed the Camino Frances for the fellow pilgrims when I did it in April 2014, but discovered when I did the Madrid Camino last year that the absence of traffic didn't trouble...

Hello friends, I am looking at routes to take this spring - from early April to mid/late May 2018 and can't decide between the Le Puy route and the Arles route. Would be grateful for any thoughts. Thanks, Steve.

Is Arles to Toulouse suitable for limbering up?

Hi Kanga, I am looking at walking the Arles route for late-March to mid-May 2018. I see you have done this route as well as Le Puy. Did you have a strong preference? And why? Any tips on what to expect weather-wise on either route? I did the Madrid Camino in spring 2017 and CF in spring...

Closure of Albergue at Medina de Rioseco

Thank you timr. This is heartbreaking news. I remember the albergue well having stayed there this past May on my camino. It was a beautiful place. The nuns were sweet and kind. And efficient - the albergue was spotless and beautifully maintained. I will never forget my stay there and their...

    Where to stay in Segovia

Hello everyone. I am heading out to Madrid tomorrow, arriving Thursday AM, and heading out a day or so later. Can anyone recommend a hostal/hotel in Segovia. I plan to stay for a day maybe two to look around. What is not-to-be-missed in Segovia? Many thanks, Steve

From Madrid Airport To Tres Cantos In The Evening?

Greetings Undermanager. I arrive in Madrid on Thursday April 27 and head out the following Monday. I will look forward to your blog (no pressure) if I can manage a truce with my i-devices. Kind regards, Steve

    Albergues on the Madrid Camino

Hello Peregrina Laurie. I will be on the CdM end of April/most of May. How moist does it get in May? I did the Frances in spring 2014, unseasonably mild and dry that year. I am anticipating a warm and dry CdM? Grateful for your/anyone's thoughts. Steve
