    Take it with you. I got tendonitis unexpectedly. Went to a pharmacy but the lady couldn't understand and offered sun screen. Second one gave me voltarin cream so yes readily available but not worth the hassle.

    We were staying at the monastery/hotel next to the cathedral and got an early morning flight to Barcelona on Ryanair. We checked out the times of the buses and got there in plenty of time. So, no need to stay at the airport.

    From Montparnasse station. That was also easy to get to on the underground from our hostel in Montmartre. There are several sites you can book on. You want one that lets you print the tickets yourself. We had to pay extra to get the tickets sent but in hindsight we could have used a different site.

    We got the train from Paris, changing in Bayonne and then the local train to St Jean de Pied de Port. Easy. We prebooked the ticket for the whole journey.
