Hi. Chris and Cathy (Brisbane Australia) reporting that we arrived in Santiago yesterday, and the VDLP all the way from Sevilla still isn´t very crowded. Yesterday we walked from Puente Ulla, and saw no walking pilgrims until we reached the Cathedral environs at Santiago.
We have loved every...
Hi from Chris and Cathy (Brisbane Australia). We arrived in Santiago yesterday, walking the VDLP from Sevilla. Our intention was to walk on to Finisterra, but our plans have changed somewhat after visiting Ivar´s Travel office (which is very good and the staff very helpful).
We are now taking...

Hello to Laurie, Anita, those currently on the VDLP and to others who are vicariously enjoying our live accounts because they have been there already or are contemplating the route.

Re: Competition in Carcaboso and other news from VDLP
Thanks again Laurie for sharing this with us all.
Chris and I are in Caceres and enjoying it all very much.
If anyone wants or needs a little pampering for a couple of days (ie tired or sore), we can recommend this little gem of a hotel...
We are on the VDLP at the moment and there seem to be options in all the albergues for charging up all our modern day appliances. The only problem I envisage is security. If there is a socket near your bed, I reckon it is OK to charge overnight otherwise I tend to wait until we get to a casa...

Hi Jane,
We are in Brisbane and due to fly out on Friday to London, but not planning to get to Spain until the following Friday to walk VDLP from Seville.

Of course it will affect...

Is there anyone on the VDLP at the moment to do a live blog? We start early May and plan to blog en route. It is a great way to connect with 'pre' and 'post' walkers! Cathy
PS The Camino Frances 'live' evokes many memories for us too. Thank you bloggers!
