credenciales on the Via de la Plata.

Thanks a lot Jean-Marc, I am sure that will help my friend.

credenciales on the Via de la Plata.

Hola Peregrinos A friend of mine has just started on the Via from Sevilla and has no credencial, he says he is in a town called Guilla (or somethiong similar, just outside Sevilla). He has been told that he wont be able to get one until Salamanca or if he goes back to Sevilla. Surely there must...

Staying in an albergue straight after buying a credencial.

Thanks for the reply. Just a stupid question based on last minute nerves but on a recent thread el-camino-frances/topic8145.html it was said that this would be up to the hospitalero. Cheers Patricio

Staying in an albergue straight after buying a credencial.

Hi all, I'm hoping to start my Camino next Thursday from Pamplona and I would like to know if I would be able to stay at one of the albergues after buying my credencial in Pamplona itself. Cheers Patricio

Posting from france to Camin travel centre.

Thanks for all your comments and advice. I'm going to look into WolverineDG's idea of getting to Roncesvalles, or maybe just Pamplona, via Irun and San Sebastian. I will be travelling on after the Camino so I will still need to send some extra weight onwards and sending it within Spain will be...

Posting from france to Camin travel centre.

Thank you both for the replies. Unfortunately I am already booked up for a flight into Biarritz so I will have to start my Camino in France. I imagine travelling on to start the Camino in Roncesvalles or elsewhere would cost more than just posting the extras (sleeping bag, daypack and a few...

Posting from france to Camin travel centre.

Hi all. I'm walking the Camino from SJPP at the end of March and I want to send some items that are unnecessary for the camino from France to the Travel Centre in Santiago. Does anyone have any information with regards to prices etc? Cheers. Patricio.

    Cerro del Mirabel near Granon

I found this in the spanish Wikipedia article on Grañon. Cuentan los documentos recuperados de la época que el origen de Grañón se remonta al siglo IX, en que se data la construcción de un castillo por orden del rey de Castilla, Alfonso III, sobre la cima de un cerro situado junto a la villa...

Equipment list and opinions from recent camino

Thanks for the replies. I'm planning on going into Portugal, Morocco and who knows where after that, but I don't fancy wearing Camino gear all for the rest of my travels. Has anybody had a particularly uncomfortable experience on the Camino from wearing ''normal'' non-specialist clothes?

    Flashlight??

I haven't done the camino yet but from previous experience in hostels I've found that the light from my mobile phone gives enough light for me to find my way around a room without bumping into anything or waking anybody up.

Equipment list and opinions from recent camino

Hi all. I would be interested in hearing some packing tips from people who continued their travels after the camino. Does doing this influence what you pack for the camino? Would you pack all the stuff for your travels before you go on the camino or buy the other things afterwards? Cheers...

    Camino Frances Albergues

Gracias Viajero. That is what I hoped, though with this year being a holy year there might be a few more people going early to avoid the rush.

    Camino Frances Albergues

Thanks for your reply. I haven't actually fixed a date yet so I assume that if I go in april I'll have no problems with finding an open albergue. Cheers PatriciO. :D

    Camino Frances Albergues

Hi all. I'm planning to walk the Camino Frances, in late March/early April, starting in St Jean. Does anyone have any experiences with regards to the albergues at this time of year? Did you have trouble getting a bed? If so what did you do? Cheers Patricio.
