Money taken from my Cash Passport! ☹️

Yes, thanks for the reminder, however it does require someone to bank online which I prefer not doing.... IF I recall correctly and I thought it did require a minimum balance? But maybe things have changed on both counts? Anyway, I appreciate the suggestion and will look into it.

Money taken from my Cash Passport! ☹️

I am planning on the Camino Frances in Sept 2024. Since I have already had a frequent flier mileage credit card hacked I am now rather cautious. Just wondering about a few things since I also do not wish to do online banking or on my phone. Questions for the more experienced: 1. Best banks in...

Hey Jeff, Humor is ALWAYS appreciated! However, given the volatile, socio-politically correct times we are in, it is sometimes even hard for a sarcastic old timer like me to discern what is humor and what is righteousness LOL! Glad to hear it was actual humor and not someone really meaning...

    Coffee

PS: Actually, Edgar Cayce, the Sleeping Prophet, not a commie, said black coffee was healthy. I have been muscle-tested for organic black coffee and it came out positive. We all have different biology. Blessings.

GOOD to know. But I was planning to buy one from Amazon, either one that works in Europe or use the adaptor, but the former is obviously easier. THANKS for the warning!

Returning Home & Preventing a Bedbug Infestation!

Re: Bedbug Protection in the future....SO SORRY about your bedbug infestation. Friend returned from a first class holiday in Italy. She too, returned with bedbugs in her suitcase! (No backpack, hiking or Camino-type travel!) She had to invest in very expensive extermination in her small studio...

    Coffee

Maybe you can find your own drip filter in a store in a larger town as well as coffee. That is my plan anyway from decades of travel: Bring own mug, heating element, drip filter and coffee! Sometimes you can find a decent instant coffee to make it simpler but not my favorite. When you need that...

    25 km per day?

Why do most Camino walkers walk approximately 25 km per day? This seems excessive to me. I like to go slowly and spend time in a place. Kindly explain. Gracias
