Which are the “wilder” (least paved, most rural) Spanish routes?
Yeah I’ve heard that too and was able to follow that plan mostly except for one day. But the 14-15 ks on certain days felt like 25-30 ks on the Frances. I am not a serious mountain hiker though so if you’re used to mountains it doesn’t apply.- JazsWay

Camino Salvador is a personal favorite. It starts in Leon and then ends in Oviedo. (Many pilgrims then continue with the Camino Primitivo) This Camino is more mountainous but take about 5-7 days.
