    Experiences on the Olvidado - June/July 2023

I'm really sorry to hear! But yes, the Olvidado will be awaiting your return. Buen Camino when the time comes!

    Experiences on the Olvidado - June/July 2023

I'm excited for you! I haven't ever been to the Cathedral in Bilbao, come to think of it! I don't see why you couldn't get a stamp there, though best to check the opening hours. Buen Camino when the time comes! I'm really looking forward to hearing about it :)

BP on the Olvidado July 2023 - A retrospective

I'm looking forward to reading the last chapter but also quite sad all this fun Camino time is coming to a close. It's been really great following you online so close to my own little adventure; really brings back great memories as I deal with the usual post-Camino blues. Any chance you'll be...

BP on the Olvidado July 2023 - A retrospective

I genuinely cannot imagine how much I would freak out if I came across a Timmies (aka Tim Hortons) on a Camino. Worlds colliding!! I couldn't handle it! I am so curious what other little hidden gems you came across!

BP on the Olvidado July 2023 - A retrospective

Wait, what!?? Ok, I was thinking I need to walk the Olvidado again to see our photos but now I definitely need to walk again and do the "A" routes to see a Canadian theme park!? In Spain!? I need to see this! My family and friends back home - in Canada - wouldn't believe me! Looking forward to...

BP on the Olvidado July 2023 - A retrospective

I love reading your reports! I miss walking and it's great to relive it all over again :) Your fellow pilgrims were so lucky so have an Invierno expert to talk to! I was alone as well. I was in the common room at one point using the microwave etc. and there were folks outside walking their...

    Experiences on the Olvidado - June/July 2023

Hi @AshIreGal , there is a folder for the Camino Viejo (the route from Pamplona to AdC) on the forum here: https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/forums/camino-viejo-pamplona-aguilar-del-campo.331/ I posted threads with the accommodation and stages/tracks that I used for this section and...

    Experiences on the Olvidado - June/July 2023

She made my last day ☺️. Now I'm definitely gonna have to walk the Olvidado again to see our pictures! (Not to mention all the other good stuff...) Happy last day on the Olvidado!

Breaking up the long stages from Cervera de Pisuerga to Puente Almuhey

I should note that it's not in the city centre but past it, and up a hill (just what we all want at the end of a long stage!). I think it adds a km to your day. I was happy I went to the supermarket first and then to albergue so I didn't have to do the hill a second time! They have a...

Breaking up the long stages from Cervera de Pisuerga to Puente Almuhey

I stayed in the Albergue recently. It's not municipal or geared towards pilgrims but were very responsive and accommodating. This company just took over about a month ago. A big place! There was no permanent reception but someone came to let me in. I'd call in advance as it's more a place for...

    Experiences on the Olvidado - June/July 2023

I've actually walked Bilbao to Arija over a few weekends. One of the benefits of living where I do! There are some nice sections, but I agree. From Bilbao is nice. From Pamplona is spectacular! I'll need to walk Arija to Aguilar though as he put Bilbao on my Olvidada. I don't want to have a...

    Experiences on the Olvidado - June/July 2023

It's so much more straightforward than the Viejo! And people who know about a Camino! And helpful hospitaleros! Oh my! I dare say I was a bit bored the first few days - see arrow, follow arrow. But once you get to the mountains...wow!

    Experiences on the Olvidado - June/July 2023

I can't believe I didn't mention Fasgar! What a lovely little place 😍 I'm not sure if I met Rosi or the other hospitalera. I sent a WhatsApp a day or two before to make sure they'd be open etc. and wasn't given a name. When I got close to Fasgar I realized that I had lost cell reception...

    Experiences on the Olvidado - June/July 2023

Hello from Villafranca de Bierzo! I've just finished walking the Olvidado from Aguilar de Campoo, where I joined it from the Camino Viejo. I didn't live post as @LTfit was just a few days ahead of me and shared wonderful live posts with info on the route, accommodations etc. There was no need to...

For future Olvidado peregrinos, there are reports that the albergue in Espinosa is open!

LIVE from the Camino On my way tomorrow!

I took this photo of the accommodation listings and phone numbers in one of the albergues. I'm guessing the one listed in Labaniego is whom you've already been in contact with, but just in case. Every albergue I've been in has had cards and advertisements for those eco-domes. Look neat!

LIVE from the Camino On my way tomorrow!

I'll go to the tourist office and see about it. As I walked it from Pamplona, I'm not sure if I can get one 🤔

LIVE from the Camino On my way tomorrow!

Hi! I'm in Igüeña and am connected to the world again! I stayed in Fasgar last night but no coverage with Vodafone and the town's wifi wasn't working. How strange to be disconnected these days 😅 Today was a nice walk and yes, the downhill goes on a long way. But what gorgeous scenery. I'm quite...

LIVE from the Camino On my way tomorrow!

Oh, I'm sorry to hear about your knee! Hoping an easier walk today (at least I think it's supposed to be easier!) helps loosen things up and you can walk pain free to Santiago!

LIVE from the Camino On my way tomorrow!

I'll be there tomorrow and will mention it to Sonia!
