    Souvenir plate

I was a Spanish teacher and this was one of the “Cultural Notes” in the textbook. If you want to send me a PM with your email I can send you a photo. Have fun exploring Seville. It is a beautiful city. Anyway you are more than welcome!

    Souvenir plate

Not 100% certain but it looks like it might be the Giralda in Seville.

This is the one issued in the US by American Pilgrims on the Camino.

    Graffiti on the Frances

Thank you for talking about this. We also were disgusted by the amount of graffiti we encountered when we walked the CF in the fall of 2017. We had a name for those that defaced the markers which I cannot repeat on this forum. Also distressing was that someone had removed the km distance plates...

Compostela or Passport: Which Means More to You?

So....the question you posed was "if you had to choose one"....it would definintely be the passports. I filled up three along the way. They are like a chronicle of that fabulous journey. I do have my Compostela on the wall along with a collage poster of my favorite bridges and another one of all...

    Spanish Language School?

If you want to go to Spain I would suggest Salamanca. It is an absolutely beautiful city, but as it is a bit smaller than Madrid or Seville it isn’t as overwhelming. Also you won’t have any problems with other languages as you might in Cataluña or the Basque Country. I studied there with the...

    US Passport Info!

Hello, I believe things happen for a reason, so maybe you just weren't meant to go in May???? Maybe you will have a special experience that you otherwise wouldn't have had. At least you discovered it now and not when you were about to board the plane....that would have been worse. Buen Camino...

Asking advice re: FB message about lost/found ID Card on Camino

Well it never hurts to be too careful. "Trust, but verify"...I like it!:) Although if he were going to do anything malicious he a) probably would have done so by now, and b) wouldn't have looked you up on FB.

Asking advice re: FB message about lost/found ID Card on Camino

Maybe you could just thank him very much, you really appreciate his time and effort, but that you replaced the licence when you returned home, and not to worry about it. It sounds like he is just trying to be helpful.

    Camino Bingo

Wow! I love this idea! Thank you. (Sort of) along these lines....I found a National Geographic Adventure Map of Northern Spain that I plan to leave with my grandson. I am going to ask him to (with his dad's help) mark my progress every day. The cool thing about the map is that the Camino Francés...

Menu del dia or Menu de peregrino?

Triple like Joe! Although I haven't yet experienced a menu de peregrino, I have always found the menu del dia a good value and, as been stated above, a few more choices. It also usually includes a small bottle of vino tinto. Buen Camino.

    Km pr hour

Hi Ida! Check out gronze.com. It gives not only the distance, but also the difficulty and the time it takes to walk each stage. So it probably calculates the time taking into account terrain, hills/no hills etc., but I am assuming it would be just walking time and not include time for taking...
