Efren's is one of the best but a few more to look for in no particular (well actually alphabetical) order are;
Chica and Sunsets- Husband and wife team.
Hank Leukart- Just one video but I thought very good. Incidentally his Neverending NZ story is great too.
I'll Get There- is one currently in...
Sorry, I maybe wasn't clear, I meant regional dishes from around Spain. It just hadn't occurred to me that they'd be so parochial, it seems tantamount to only selling Cornish Pasties in Cornwall.
I'd actually like to see more regional Spanish cuisine on the camino. I remember one of the few disappointments of my first camino was the lack of good, fresh gazpacho which to me seems like a perfect camino lunch for a hot day.
As an Englishman for whom kebab shops are only to be visited after...
@Phoenix
I had briefly considered the possibility of trolling and while I must confess I struggle to put myself in the mindset of a troll this just seems like a ridiculously low payoff for the effort. The OP would have had to:
Find a relatively obscure forum, no offence intended Ivar ;)...
To be fair while I don't agree with @1946caminoman I also don't think his newness or @davebugg's position in the community should have a bearing on the discussion. I've been on forums before where seniority was too often confused with rightness and it wasn't productive.
I'm sure your intentions are good @1946caminoman but in your posts (to me at least) you come across very much as the radical vegan you claim not to be.
Have you researched the demand for vegetarian/vegan food on the camino? Doing some rough calculations based on nationality demographics of...
But people could just copy it to their own sheet and use it as a template. I'm pretty sure there's an option to share but not allow changes. It's not ideal but better than nothing.
Wow @davebugg you've really been through the wringer, delighted that you made it out the other side.
Just a quick word on the inexplicable anger and irritability you experienced. The combination of infection and a general anaesthetic can do strange things to the mind, I certainly wouldn't worry...
I do love a good spreadsheet, though while on Camino I like to let go a bit and not worry too much. The only glaring error I see is the lack of an erm....how can I put this- "recreational" beverage section. That takes up far more of my budget than I'd like to admit.
Obviously no spreadsheet can...
"Hope this helps."
Thanks @t2andreo , what you say almost without fail helps. Starting to look like 3rd week in September from SJPdP will work well for me.
I think @lizlane makes a compelling argument about potentially cutting out a whole group of people who couldn't do 300kms for lack of time or other resources.
I often wonder as someone who'll be embarking on their third CF this autumn if there shouldn't be a limit to the number of Compostelas...
Thanks @Kathar1na that's really helpful. amazing that there's nearly a 50% drop off from the first to the last week of September.
Annoying things is that I'm sure I've been to a website with daily stats before but now it's nowhere to be found. Ah well, weeklies are probably as accurate as I...
For the Camino Frances I would welcome it but I guess one problem is that it would render other cominos like the Ingles irrelevant which would be a shame.
