I came across this lovely hymn that has been recently released. Moderator, please delete if not appropriate. I find it very soothing and meaningful. The theme is “Pilgrims of Hope”, and it will be a year of hope for a world suffering the impacts of war, the ongoing effects of COVID-19 pandemic...
All great replies. One thing I was told if the water flow is fast, never turn your back against the flow, as your legs would collapse. Personally, I would be apprehensive in crossing an unknowns water stretch.
Hills.....you can't really avoid them. Some or steeper than others. My own opinion on hills, for what it's worth. When climbing a hill, never look up to the summit, it will never come. Look behind and congratulate yourself on what you have achieved.
Have a distraction or something meaningful...
I would like to share an article from the Whithorn Trust, Who is involved with the Whithorn Way and St Ninian of Scotland https://www.whithorn.com/walk-the-whithorn-way/
Today, a note on one of the further flung Ninian connections, demonstrating the devotion of expat Scots...
Our Church is planning a virtual Pilgrimage to Bethlehem during Advent through to Christmas. Does anyone know of an App that, when we key in our own daily mileage, it automatically plots our distances in our route. I faintly remember some organisation had this on the Camino, but it may cost a...
That is true, numerous petitions are contained in one envelope. I have no idea, what happens to the petitions afterwards, but I wouldn't think the Cathedral staff, would regard petitions as a mess. Perhaps if anyone has other knowledge of this.

I was talking to a German Pilgrim, and he said my English was very good. He then tried to work out which country I was from. After a few countries, he gave up, and I said I am Scottish. With a big smile he said aahhh Scotland.
I am afraid to say mine are still in the cardboard tubes, which occasionally sees the light of day. After seeing those beautiful framed Credencials and Compostelas has given me ideas.
Perhaps I am being security conscious, but is it a good idea to post your name and passport number online.
Beautiful Church. I was told that the crucifix is about 100 years old and came from China. (I don't know) They say that Jesus, even in death is reaching down to help humanity.
I came across this article which may be of interest, especially at this period of time.

I tend to buy a few Kilos of chocolate as well. Most of the chocolate is for gifts, although some do find their way into my personal stash. The Galician liqueurs seem like a good idea. It's good to know. Thanks.
