Intentionally walked from el Burgo Ranero to Leon during the night to "stargaze"; terrain flat (i.e. on road/asphalt) which allowed for continuous stargazing 🌃 , yes the sky was clear and stars were clearly visible, but nothing to write home about :-(

There is a direct relationship between miles walked and food consumption/burning. Eating to excess is one of the main joys of the camino, that extra chocolate croissant and coffee before 11am equates to another hour of walking 😜. So I confess to walking 10+ hours daily 😆😆😆

Would also consider the following (which I need to tattoo inside both eyelids). "never pass a rest stop" without assessing the state of your body and ensuring you have enough food and water onboard to get to the next stop. Never assume there is an open restaurant...
Younger pilgrims notching up 40+km a day, hopefully in later years will return when time permits, relax, spend more time exploring and enjoying each village, the culture, the people, the food, the countryside and gain a whole new experience from the journey. I unfortunately was in that category...
