I got a new hat, "A", and was all proud until my daughter said it was a "no". A very strong no. "B" is my trusty hat of 6 caminos. Please leave a vote. Thanks!- JAL

Eat, Sleep, Dream Camino!
Another Idahoan here! From the frosty Northlands. I walked SJPdP to Santiago in 2014 and Le Puy to SJPdP in 2015. Both times in the fall and both times solo. Going to walk a week of the Francigena to Rome this April with my wife. Ditto, Duolingo is great for a free service. Pack Light. Wool...- JAL

How do gites deal with the bedbug problems?
I found the bedbugs to be nearly as bad on the Le Puy route as on the Frances. I got bitten several times and saw bedbugs in my bed and caught one on my face in the middle of the night. Yep, France has bedbugs, too.
Just walked the Chemin de St. Jacques from Le Puy to St. Jean. Got bitten by bedbugs several times. I know they were bedbugs because I caught one. Oddly, about halfway through, I stopped getting bitten and had no further problems. The only thing I did differently was after shaking EVERYTHING out...- JAL
