Today is Thanksgiving in the United States and I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you on this forum and for all the wonderful people who support us with hospitality, encouragement and prayers when we walk.
I just finished Cees Nooteboom's Roads to Santiago (an art and historical exploration of Spain by car) and like this quote from Ernest Jünger: "It is not the churches that are venerable, but the invisible that exists within them."
For me it was the sense of community, not just among the walkers, but the Spanish people who asked for prayers in Santiago, who smiled and offered encouragement, for all the unseen people who maintain the way with signs and prayers.
