I ordered a guide book from Ivar. The book traveled to Germany, but turned from there to Italy, and has now been "delivered". I live in Finland. Ok, is this the universe's way to say I should plan a camino in Italy or maybe I can't trust in a book that can't even find it's way to the right...
Yes, I watched it yesterday (Viaplay, Finland). Great movie, I loved it. It's more about family and relationships than actual camino, but some elements of camino are clear. Worth watching absolutely 👍👍
Based on food? I would go to Italy or France. Sorry, Spain, two caminos and mostly not good food there. I'll still go again, because it's not about food, so it does not matter that much
😄👍
The couple "Stingy Nomads", Anya and Campbell, have a great video (actually many!) in YouTube about budget of 20, 30 or 40 euros per day on camino: "Camino de Santiago cost". You'll get valuable hints from their videos 😊
In Finland Everybody has a cellphone, kids get the first one before they start school. We use phone to contact others, to buy things, to order food, pay bills, watch videos (of camino!), take pictures, send messages, book hotels, doctor's appointments or use services like tax or social...
Well, Spain is not France 😉 The food was not so special and sometimes it was just bad, but now I have aioli with french fries. I had never tried that before, it's good!
I come from Finland where we don't get used to be in hot weather and most of us have very white skin. On meseta, above 25 °C I struggled. In forests it was ok, but on open road it was too much. I had to wear long sleeves and pants to protect my skin and it felt very hot. I'd rather walk in cold...
Would you kindly share a picture, please? I have no idea what you're talking about. Sounds interesting! I Have never heard of such before, not on two caminos. Am I the only one? 😃
Yes, it's like gardening, at least here in Finland. Right after Christmas I pull out all little bags of flower seeds and start planning - even though the hardest winter is yet to come! Planning Camino feels like it would come quicker 😁
I agree with you totally! We tried 🙈
Only fresh paella we had in Castrojeriz in Albergue Rosalia, made by Javier. It was so good! Every other paellas came out of a freezer and microwave 😝
Oh yes! I think they export all of them to Finland (Where I live), because we can't grow them during winter, and when I go to Spain, there are no vegetables left 🙈
