My guess is that if you are expecting a certain emotional experience on the Camino, then that is what you will not get. Consider leaving expectations behind so that you are open to whatever the Camino teaches you. It might teach you that you don’t need watery releases to feel your emotions fully...
Hmmm, maybe I was prescient... my backpack developed an internal frame problem and I took it back and replaced it with a new one.
So now my Forum Badge is safety-pinned to a new backpack that I need to get used to in the next couple of weeks.
Oh well, better to replace it now than mid-Camino.
