Rolls are reversed in our house, my husband for the same reason as your wife stays at home. His duties of care also include looking after my dog and keeping an eye on my bees!!
If you finish another Camino as a Druid aim to finish at Finisterre ,where before the Christians started walking to Santiago de Compostela the Pagans ended their walk. Hope you find what you are looking for
Both of these food items are quite light and not liable to go off. So you could take a few food bags with you so when you need to resupply in the larger towns. You can put anything which is left over in a bag to keep it fresh.

Because of the danger to the straps I always put the rucksack rain cover on back to front and use 2 thin luggage straps to keep it in place. Works a treat. Buen Camino
I found a great app called Memrise, unfortunately it isn't free. But it covers a wide spectrum including listening to what they call meet the locals where they speak a sentence and you learn to pick up on words despite the speed some of them speak at! I've found it invaluable. Buen Camino!
Not having done the primitivo 'yet' June this year I start. Going by my experiences of UK weather in the hills that time of year, I would say something lightweight but waterproof and an extra fleece would do the trick. Don't forget a hat and gloves. Buen Camino!
