There are a tremendous number of sites on the Camino , Roman , Visigoth , and Reconquesta. Every day you are tempted to go off the trail for a unique location. Read up before you go. I alway find out afterwards what I missed
I met a couple who rented horses and hired a guide to do the CF 15 years ago . The stabling of the horses was the biggest hassle. Many time the horses needed to be trucked away upon reaching their albergue and wouldn’t get them back till 10 the next morning. The also stopped an hour midday for...
I did have a playlist of my favorite tune , but used it to put me to sleep in the albergue. While walking I talked with other pilgrims or just dreamed about the history of that stage.

I had lost( left) my walking shoes because a generally wear sandals, on the way to Najara and I asked the hospitality where to get another pair. She showed me into a room of left gear , there was a ton of everything , I found a nice pair of abandoned German walking shoe that were great and used...
This is counter to your question , but here it is . It’s mostly cheaper to buy a “menu de perigrino” than buy a light dinner and carry bits and pieces in your pack . Also a cafe is a place to meet other pilgrims and sit together . That’s just me —-
