Alex, I agree. When I met SY in Santiago, I was blown out of my socks !!! I couldn't believe it was HER, in person. Great going, SY. Buen Camino, sister :), Caesar
Robo.... sorry to sound very direct. The lady always wins!!! This lovely Lady is looking at a CAMINO.. not a pub crawl (just my humble opinion... after reading what u wrote!). I normally do not taste the "honey" from wine growing areas whilst walking, but I do admit to indulging whilst in...
You'll soon get used to living as a "pilgrim"... believe me !!!! There are bar soaps in Super Markets.... very reasonably priced too. This is really the last of your worries at this time (worries??? hmmm excitement more like it :). Its going to be an experience of a life-time.... so love every...
I would have LOVED to talk with you, politics or anything else. I met ONE pilgrim from Israel and it was fantastic talking to him. Israel has been on my "wish list" for a long time. I hope it happens, Buen Camino :) Caesar
trecile, its NOT a mistake. YOU showed her something beautiful in this life. You can ALWAYS take time to be on your own. We all do. Have a great time on The Way. Your friend will find her own Camino. Buen Camino :), Caesar

honestly, Dave... speaking for myself, After a day's walk, a great hot shower and a nice evening meal, you wont bother about sleeping. YOU WILL... wife included. Even if you both snore... u wouldn't mind/care. Albergues, my fellow pilgrim !!! Its where life begins. Buen Camino :) Caesar
I agree, Urban Trekker. I've taken buses or taxis for several reasons and I believe I AM NOT ANSWERABLE TO ANYONE BUT TO MYSELF. For example, I was walking to Samos last year and it started raining, got dark and I walked on the main road with cars zooming past me. I walked for about an hour in...
Cruz de Ferro for sure. I wept with a fellow pilgrim... no idea why we did, but we did !! And of course, Santiago the first time I got there. Couldn't stop crying for 2 days (maybe more). I've no idea what happens, and I really don't care. I love the experience. Buen Camino
Al... THIS one... I like !!!! I'm looking forward to seeing me there in Feb for a short walk .... BUT .... being back where we belong. Buen Camino brother :) Caesar
FIFTEEN KILOS???? That would be way too much for ME. I walk with 7-8 kilos MAX. I don't need much as a pilgrim. I often sleep in the clothes I would be walking with the next morning. Buen Camino
