Thanks Sillydoll.
I think Alipilgrim has commented the same on Rachels blog.
I'm feeling guilty as I'm pretty sure it was me that suggested she might not need gloves or a thick buff (she does have one of Beverley's Camino buffs though).
My wife posted on her blog about an hour ago that it's 36 Celcius at Lubian which is on the Via de la Plata/Sanabres route. The forecast is for it to get hotter by Friday and then some cooler air coming in.
Thankfully she has a wide brimmed straw hat which, she says, is making a huge difference...
Weatheronline shows weather history quite clearly. You can chose graphs for temps, rainfall etc.
Here's the link for Pamplona:

Ian, I ordered Credentials for my wife and I last weekend, via this site, and received them today - many thanks. One question - on the inside cover, where you fill in your information, it says Fecha (date) then 'A favor de' and 'DNI' what do these mean?
Andrew.
Hi mkel040,
I didn't take an SLR because of the weight and bulk so last year I bought a Panasonic lumix lx5
http://spanishfootsteps.blogspot.com/20 ... chive.html which has proved to be the perfect compromise between a compact and an SLR. Rather than carry the weight of it's charger I took...
I walked from St Jean to Castrojeriz a few weeks ago and have just uploaded the photos to my blog.

I hope you enjoy them. Text will follow when I get time.
Happy New Year,
Andrew.
I walked from Belorado to Burgos today so am a little footsore, great walk though and some interesting conversations. The weather couldn't have been better given the time of year and I'm going to miss the Camino and all that it entails. Tomorrow is a relatively short walk to Hornillos then...
I'm finally packed! I thought I was more or less finished at the weekend but there are so many details to attend to not connected with walking The Camino.
By some miracle I've managed to keep my pack weight down to around 6 kilos (dry weight) by investing in some lightweight kit that can also...
Thanks. I've looked at M's Camino and there looks to be plenty of information. My main concern is which alburgues are likely to be open as many of them appear to close in October. But having read a few winter Camino blogs no one seems to struggle much with finding accommodation. I guess I'll go...
I've just found this http://www.ipilgrimpodcast.com/ and thought I'd share it. It was posted a few days ago. It's nice to know the weather is still good. I'm off to the Camino Frances in a few weeks starting from SJPP so hoping it will remain so.
Andrew
When are All Saints Day and Holy Week? I'm arriving SJPP around 8th November for a 3 week (ish) walk. I'm hoping to get to somewhere like Castrojeriz or maybe further. Any other holidays to be aware of?
Andrew.
Br. David,
I also had a problem learning other languages. I discovered the Pimsleur language courses on CD at my local library and it's been very sucessful. There is no written material you just listen and repeat the various exercises and it is structured in the same way as a child learns a...
Miguel,
haha, I didn't realise it read like that when I posted. I'm sure my wife will enjoy it though. It's in a tiny atmospheric cinema, about 50 seats and hopefully no teenagers phoning and texting.
Andrew.
I thought this guy's blog might be of interest to some of the folk here. The content is interesting and he posts almost every day. There is also a lot of informed, concise info on gear particularly feet and footwear and it's just good to see the sun shining and the beautiful remote trails...
I would highly recommend downloading caminoguide.net. If you print on both sides of A4 sheets (9 sheet in total I think) it's very light and disposable. It's comprehensive, up to date and doesn't include any history - just info on navigation and accommodation.
