Oh, there are just no words.
What a life, lived and lost, too soon. Much, much too soon.
My respect, condolences and prayers to his loved ones and community
And what is wrong with a net on a Camino or Chemin, may I ask? This photo (May 2022 on the Chemin d'Arles) was taken by a fellow pelerine who was envious of my protection from the irritating black bugs buzzing everywhere. The net was also useful on the Meseta in 2018. Don't travel without one, I...
Yes! In Sept 2018, we had the same marvelous, unexpected experience in Viana - I forget the name of the Festival but it included the "mini" running of the bulls and a wonderful procession or parade with costumed figurines, bands and entire families participating, all dressed in red and white...

I love this sort of thread, too: discussions of history, geography, cartography, linguistic and political minutiae- all this is right down my alley! And, I cannot understand why the Kiwis should be excluded from the fun?!?!
Hola from me, here in Adelaide, full of envy as well. We are currently in level 5 lockdown in SA (and other states) as the Delta variant gains speed. I'm particularly sad that this means cancelation of the St James dinner at Nunyara, on Sunday 25/7, after all the efforts of our wonderful...
