Wow, Simeon. "Sometimes the wrong train will take us to the right station." I really heard that. Thank you for your words of wisdom and for reminding us to let go a little.
This forum made me braver and stronger as I left this time last year Trish. You are so right about the wonderful help we can all receive here. Good luck on your walk and buen camino!
So sorry about your personal situation. You can never be alone on the camino, even if you want to walk on your own. People are always there with open hearts if you need them. Many people with difficult situations walk and find something of a resolution. I hope you will too. Have a think about...
I hope you find the wheeler that you're looking for. I admire you both for undertaking this journey with all of these challenges. Finding the right equipment is all part of the camino experience; it shows your determination and will to do something valuable despite the odds. I wish you both all...
Your pictures are truly lovely! A sign for sure. Just go and enjoy it once again, pain and all. I didn't have any signs as such, just an overwhelming desire to do the trip.

Thanks for the idea. I'm going to have a look at the St. Jean to Roncesvalles stretch now. I remember those Portomarin steps. I stood there wondering how the Gods could do this to poor suffering pilgrims at the end of a long hard day! There aren't that many, but enough to make one curse!
I didn't meet your brother, Joan, as I walked in earlier months, but I am deeply sorry for your loss. I hope you are comforted by people coming forward with their stories. All my love to you.
Great post, Alex. I also did my own thing. Fast some days, slow others, depending on what shape I was in. It pays to do it your own way. Every body is doing it right if they do it their own way.
