    I must admit I am a bit selective where I stay and look for recent positive reviews on gronze, booking.com or word of mouth. As others said stopping in between stages helps, although if everyone is doing that perhaps it’s the inbetween places that are filling up.

    Yes, for the first time. Roncesvalles is iconic, that I would have felt that I missed an essential part of the camino frances experience. Plus, I bumped into someone I met in Orisson and then a father and his two daughters (Irish) that I kept meeting up over the first week and a half.

    I walked May/June 2018 (started 2 May from SJPDP). The weather was fine, warmer in the beginning and then the last two weeks it rained every day. So who knows what it will be like in 2020, but I plan on rewalking again May/June.
