Love this advice esp sending the pack ahead.
If u don’t have time to rest for a day or two you could also consider taking a bus or taxi for a few kilometres.
Nothing is wrong, your body is being pushed this is your opportunity to go with the flow. :)
Enjoy yourself.
A credit card or piece of...
Whip into the chemist and pick up some bug spray and earplugs. If you’re staying too far off the beaten track you will feel isolated, maybe stay in a albergue where you have to meet people for a night or two. Eat in towns Peregrino meals with other pilgrims.
Maybe this is your lesson for this...
I loved walking your journey as it was SO different from my own. I never realised how different the season/ weather and also Covid would make it. A much more solitary experience, different but still beautiful.
I went in September- October and only experienced 1 day of partial rain...
The distance seems great at home but is nothing on the Camino. I only trained max 3 hrs at home. Once on the Camino I used to get up early and Just walk for an hr or so then stop for breakfast, then walk for a couple of hours n stop for coffee or cool drink then walk for a couple of hrs n light...
I’d recommend the CDF starting from Leon to Santiago. There are more people to meet and mix with, more facilities and going to the end gives you the sense of completion , achievement and camaraderie.
I haven’t done the a Portuguese yet, but I met a few people in the queue in Santiago waiting to...
I'm planning to walk from León to Santiago (and depending on time and fatigue hopefully to Finisterre) and giving myself between 3 and 4 weeks.

It comes down to the foot and body care.
You need good boots that you’ve worn around home for 8 hrs a day and not got blisters.
I walked Leon-...
I think the answer may lie in whether you stay in (or send to) larger well known albergues en the major CF route, or chose to send to more bespoke or independent accommodation off the beaten track.
I have sent my pack from standard well known alburgue to standard alburgue, and even the...
I think you’re pushing it. You need an extra day or two. The “stages” suggest 11 days and they presume you a Camino fit by Astorga. Why rush? You can take a bus/taxi if you’re overdoing it or get injured but why risk it.
The suggestion to book yr train ticket on-line well ahead is a very good...
I guess.... except the movie “The Way” came out several hundred years after the Camino was called “The Way” ...... of St James or The French Way, The North Way
Jesus reckoned he was “The Way, The Truth..” Dont be annoyed.. just go for another walk.😉
Your Camino was just meant to take a little longer. Go slow, don’t be tempted to compete, and enjoy every step. Stop when you are tired or sore. Listen to your body and your message and the Camino will provide EXACTLY what you need.
You will meet many Camino friends (or family) as no-one knows...
Beautifully written- I could not have said it better. A guidebook of what you are passing is also interesting to decide what you’d like to stop and see and also when to walk alternate more scenic routes - not along the busy highway for example. Invariably the most interesting journey is that of...
Wild exaggerations. I’m near tge end now -20k in Ponderosa where 3 Caminos have joined, and while it’s busy on the 30 Sept I’d say those figs are wild exaggerations.
