I am someone who always got blisters from hiking. On the camino, I made it a habit to stop every hour or two, take off my shoes and socks, and rub my feet. That allowed them to air out and stay dry. I GOT NO BLISTERS THE WHOLE WAY! I also picked up some Ecco hiking sandals which I alternated...
OMG! Paul said he drank NO WINE between Pamplona and Santiago. What a loss! That's like doing the Camino and not sleeping in an albergue. (Nothing personal, my opinion)

This is a question for the veterans.
I do my first camino this September. I want to start from SJPDP. Due to time constraints, I may need to cut three days. By cut I mean catch a taxi or bus to speed things along. If you were redoing the Camino Frances, which three days would you cut?

Normal or not, you are not alone. My problem is that I planned my Camino almost a year in advance, for next May. That's too much time to worry. Am I training right or enough, what should I pack, do I have the right shoes, are they broken in enough, Norte or Frances, ETC !!!

My suggestion is to find someone there who matches your style of hiking. Talk to people as you go to start off. Watch their pace.
